Forge Calibre Explorer is a streamlined Android client built for readers who host their Calibre e-book collections on Google Drive. Instead of relying on full-system sync apps or bulky third-party readers, Forge Calibre directly reads your cloud-hosted metadata.db file, giving you instant, low-latency access to search, browse, and download your entire library straight to your tablet or phone.

• Direct Google Drive Integration: Connect securely using official Google OAuth 2.0. Read-only access ensures your cloud library remains completely untouched and safe.
• Native Calibre Support: Directly parses your library’s metadata.db file to preserve tags, series info, authors, and cover art just like you organized them on your desktop.

How It Works

1. Host Your Library: Keep your Calibre library directory (containing metadata.db and your author/title folders) uploaded to your Google Drive.
2. Connect: Authenticate with your Google account in Forge Calibre Explorer.
3. Explore & Download: Browse your collection by author or series, fetch your book files with a single tap, and open them in your favorite reading application.

Technical Requirements

• Platform: Android 8.0 or higher
• Storage Requirement: Personal Google Drive account hosting a valid Calibre library folder
• Permissions: Requires drive.readonly scope to scan library files and download requested e-books.

Development & Transparency

• AI-Assisted Code Workflow: Built collaboratively using Antigravity for code architecture, refactoring, and debugging. 
• Assets: All UI design, application logic, and project structure were human-directed and designed. No generative AI was used to produce art, text assets, or media included in the app bundle.
